Part-Time Professional and Consistent Live-Out Housekeeper needed in Lower East Side, NYC
- Position: Part-Time Live-Out Housekeeper
- Location: Lower East Side
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; arrive at 8:15 AM, start at 8:30 AM
- Salary: $45 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
- Relocation: No – local candidates only
About the Household
A private household on the Lower East Side is seeking a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join an established household team. The family maintains multiple living and household spaces across several floors and units and is looking for a dependable professional who can help maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness throughout the home. The new housekeeper will work alongside two existing part-time housekeepers, with some overlapping shifts and shared responsibilities.
- Children: 2 children, but no childcare responsibilities are required.
- Home Size: Multiple household spaces on separate floors and units.
- Pets: No
- Household Staff: An established household team, including two part-time housekeepers.
Responsibilities

Maintain exceptional cleanliness and perform detailed housekeeping throughout the family’s various household spaces and common areas.

Regularly vacuum and mop floors, and dust furniture, shelving, décor, and other surfaces.

Tidy and maintain the children’s bedrooms, including straightening the beds and putting items back in their proper places.

Help keep guest spaces ready for use, including washing and changing linens after guests stay.

Complete laundry as needed.

Empty and maintain humidifiers and other household equipment as directed.

Lightly maintain designated office, art, and less frequently used spaces, taking care to follow specific household instructions.

Occasionally sweep outdoor areas to clear fallen leaves and debris as needed.

Use approved cleaning products and follow the family’s preferences for the care of surfaces and furnishings.

Maintain clean, orderly household spaces and ensure items are returned to their proper places.

Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate when household essentials need replenishing.

Assist with occasional household tasks as requested.

Coordinate with the existing housekeeping team to ensure all household spaces receive consistent attention.
