Dates: December 23, 2026 – January 8, 2027
Location: St. Barts, Caribbean

Compensation- $35-$38 per hour
Children: Ages 3 years and 17 months
Position: Temporary, Full-Time Travel Nanny

Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, energetic, experienced, and highly engaging travel nanny to accompany our family on a Caribbean vacation from December 23 through January 8. We have two young children, ages 3 years and 17 months, and are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with toddlers and preschoolers. The ideal candidate is active, playful, nurturing, and educational, with a natural ability to connect with young children and create fun, enriching experiences.

We would love someone who takes initiative, brings creative ideas for activities, and can balance structured play with the flexibility of a family vacation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for both children.
  • Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, reading, music, imaginative play, and early learning games.
  • Enjoy active outdoor activities, including beach outings and swimming.
  • Assist with children's daily routines, including meals, naps, bathing, and bedtime as needed.
  • Help prepare children for outings and organize their clothing, toys, and daily essentials.
  • Work collaboratively with parents to ensure a relaxed, enjoyable family vacation.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment at all times.

Ideal Candidate

  • Significant professional experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ideally with multiple children simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with swimming, beaches, and outdoor activities; strong swimming ability preferred.
  • Naturally energetic, playful, affectionate, and patient.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and educational play.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to independently plan stimulating activities.
  • Flexible, adaptable, discreet, and comfortable traveling with a family.
  • Excellent references from previous families.
  • Current infant/child CPR and first aid certification preferred.

Schedule & Travel Arrangements

  • Travel dates: December 23 – January 8.
  • The position will involve a full-time schedule during the vacation, with specific working hours and time off agreed upon in advance.
  • Travel expenses, accommodations, and meals while traveling will be provided.
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, schedule, and responsibilities.
  • Potential Pre-Travel Start: We may request that the selected candidate begin approximately one week before departure, working a few hours per day in New York City. This would allow the children to become comfortable with the nanny and establish a positive relationship before traveling together.
