• Hours: 35 hours/week guaranteed (occasionally closer to 40)

About the Family

A warm, open, and easygoing family in Skillman is looking for an energetic nanny/family assistant to join their home! Their 4-year-old daughter is bubbly, silly, and super adaptable. She’s used to being around lots of adults, so she’ll love someone who can be playful and goofy with her while still being grounded and holding a boundary when needed.

She’s in school half days Monday through Thursday, so mornings will focus on family assistant tasks that keep the household running smoothly. After pickup, plus all day Fridays and school breaks, it’s all about her... playground trips, library visits, creative play, and lots of fun together.

Both parents work from home a couple days a week from their upstairs offices, and their daughter is great about letting them work. This family really values open, honest communication. They want someone who keeps them in the loop, shares updates throughout the day, and feels comfortable giving and receiving feedback. They’re kind and approachable, so you never have to worry about being in trouble for speaking up!

Responsibilities

• Loving, engaged care for a 4-year-old after school, on Fridays, and during school breaks
• Age-appropriate activities and outings like the playground and library
• Laundry
• Light meal prep and simple recipes provided by the family (no major cooking)
• Occasional grocery shopping
• Tidying and organizing kids’ areas and keeping the kitchen clean
• Regular updates to parents on activities, plans, and whereabouts

Ideal Candidate & Personality

You’re energetic, confident, and a natural communicator. You can be silly and fun one minute and calmly hold a boundary the next. You’re honest and upfront, even when something doesn’t go as planned, and you see the parents as true teammates. You take initiative around the house and like knowing everything is handled and calm.

Requirements

• 5+ Years experience with young children, preschool age preferred
• Strong, honest communication skills and comfort with two-way feedback
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Available Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:00/4:30pm
• Local to the area
• Background check and references required
