Description

Overview

A warm, professional couple in Notting Hill is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Nanny to provide consistent weekend support in their beautifully maintained four-bedroom Victorian home. This is a long-term, well-structured role supporting a busy family who value their weekends as dedicated family time.

With a full-time weekday nanny already in place, this role focuses on creating a seamless, relaxed weekend environment where childcare and light household support are thoughtfully balanced.

The Role

Weekends are active, family-oriented, and less structured than weekdays. You will step in to support both children and home life so the parents can be fully present while everything runs smoothly in the background.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Prepare breakfast and simple, healthy meals for the family
  • Accompany children to activities (e.g., swimming, sports, outings to parks or markets)
  • Provide attentive, engaging care for a 4-year-old and 7-year-old
  • Maintain tidy, organized shared living spaces throughout the day
  • Manage light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and general resets
  • Assist with bath time and evening wind-down routines
  • Support a smooth, enjoyable weekend rhythm for the household

Candidate Profile

  • Warm, engaging, and naturally comfortable with children aged 4–7
  • Confident balancing childcare with light housekeeping responsibilities
  • Adaptable to a relaxed, family-focused weekend environment
  • Proactive and intuitive, with a “see it, do it” mindset
  • Discreet, professional, and easy to have in the home

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ combined nanny/housekeeper experience in private homes
  • Recognized childcare qualification (CACHE Level 3, Norland, or NNEB)
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current paediatric first aid certification
  • London-based with reliable commute to W11
  • Strong references from similar roles

Schedule

  • Saturday and Sunday (consistent year-round)

Compensation & Benefits

  • £250–£300 per day (DOE), paid weekly
  • All travel expenses covered (including Uber)
  • Breakfast and lunch provided during shifts
  • Flexible holiday aligned with family travel (approx. 4–5 weeks/year)
  • Annual Christmas bonus (one week’s pay)
  • Opportunity for additional babysitting hours at premium rates

This is a standout weekend role with a kind, appreciative family who value professionalism, consistency, and a positive working relationship.
