Caring & Warm Nanny

Overview

A kind and active family in San Francisco is seeking a capable, energetic, and reliable nanny to assist with the care of their two young children, a 2.5-year-old girl (in morning preschool) and an 8-month-old boy. This is a collaborative role working closely with a stay-at-home parent and is well-suited for someone who enjoys early childhood development and is highly engaged in supporting children’s growth.

The ideal candidate is confident caring for both children together and individually, communicates effectively, and embraces a team-oriented approach as daily needs shift. A strong understanding of developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities is important, and a background in Early Childhood Education is a plus. The family values a hands-on, screen-free environment and is seeking someone who brings positive energy, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for both the toddler and infant, adjusting support as needed throughout the day
• Work closely with the parent in a collaborative, communicative partnership
• Assist with morning routines, including breakfast, getting ready, and preschool drop-off or pickup
• Manage infant care, including feeding, naps, and playtime
• Engage both children in age-appropriate, enriching activities indoors and outdoors in a screen-free environment
• Foster a playful, interactive, and supportive atmosphere
• Support healthy eating habits and follow family preferences around meals and nutrition
• Assist with light child-related tasks, including tidying children’s spaces and handling children’s laundry
• Travel with the family approximately four weeks per year
• Provide occasional evening or date night coverage as needed

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of professional childcare or nanny experience preferred
• Experience caring for both infants and toddlers, together and independently
• Familiarity with child development and milestones; Early Childhood Education background is a plus
• Confident driver with a clean driving record
• Energetic, engaged, and genuinely enjoys working with young children
• Collaborative, adaptable, and willing to assist where needed
• Strong communicator who is reliable and flexible
• Passport ready for travel

Details

• Location: San Francisco, CA
• Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM to 3:00–5:00 PM (8–10 hour days), with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends

Compensation and Benefits

• $40–$55 per hour plus overtime
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Two weeks paid time off
• Eight federal holidays
• Five sick days
