Full-Time Nanny- NYC/Chicago

Overview

A full-time nanny is sought to care for a 13-month-old girl, with the role beginning in July 2026 in New York City. The family divides their time between Manhattan and Winnetka, IL (Chicago), typically spending January through June in Chicago and July through December in NYC, though this schedule may evolve.

In NYC, the schedule will generally be Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM (approximately 55 hours per week). In Chicago, the schedule will be similar, averaging around 50 hours per week, with slightly shorter days. The position is live-out in NYC. In Chicago, private accommodations and a vehicle will be provided to ensure comfort and independence. Occasional travel is expected, such as a potential winter trip to Cancun, with separate accommodations provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage full nursery duties for the toddler
• Support developmental growth through age-appropriate activities and engagement
• Oversee feeding routines, including careful management of food allergies (currently sesame and certain tree nuts, with ongoing desensitization)
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the child
• Provide sole charge care in NYC (parents work outside the home) and collaborate in a shared care setting in Chicago (parents work from home)

Qualifications

• Korean language skills are a strong plus but not required
• Warm, energetic, and nurturing personality
• Interest in a long-term role
• College education is a plus but not required

Requirements

• Valid U.S. passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization
• Ability to drive (required for the Chicago portion of the role)
• Flexibility to relocate between NYC and Chicago throughout the year
• Comfortable with occasional travel and overnight care as needed

Compensation and Benefits

• $45–$50 per hour plus overtime
