Full-Time Housekeeper – Upper East Side, NYC

Overview

A private family of four on the Upper East Side of New York is seeking a highly skilled, full-time housekeeper to join their home as soon as possible. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized living environment. During July and August, the family spends time in the Hamptons; however, the housekeeper will remain in the city to care for the UES residence. The schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some flexibility required. This is a live-out role, and only local candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough daily cleaning and maintenance of a 6,700 sq. ft. home across four levels (equipped with a lift)
• Manage all laundry, including washing, folding, and ironing
• Change linens and make beds regularly
• Properly care for delicate surfaces, including stone, using appropriate cleaning techniques
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the day, including dishwashing
• Ensure overall organization and tidiness across all areas of the home
• Oversee wardrobe organization and maintenance
• Track and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and other household essentials
• Anticipate household needs and maintain consistently high standards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of professional housekeeping techniques
• Prior experience in a similar role within a private household
• Comfortable in a pet-friendly home (small dog)
• Occasional ability to travel to the Hamptons is a plus, though not required
• Authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits

• $45 per hour
