Monday/Tuesday Housekeeper – Upper East Side, NYC

Overview

A busy and welcoming New York City family is seeking an experienced part-time, live-out housekeeper to support their home. The schedule will be Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility requested for evening or weekend assistance. A handover period will take place during the second week of March, with the position beginning in early April.

The family maintains very high standards and is looking for a professional who understands the expectations of a semi-formal household and takes pride in keeping a home in pristine condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 7,500 sq. ft. townhouse with 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, tidying, and organizing common areas
• Manage household laundry and ironing
• Receive and manage deliveries and returns
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed
• Change bed linens and towels regularly
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms on a daily basis
• Assist the PA/House Manager with ordering household supplies and groceries
• Conduct regular inventory checks for groceries, cleaning supplies, and other household essentials
• Water a small kitchen garden when needed

Requirements

• Experienced, career housekeeper with strong attention to detail
• Highly organized, proactive, and meticulous in approach
• Comfortable maintaining high standards of cleanliness, laundry care, and organization
• Extensive experience working in private homes
• Detail-oriented and thorough in all aspects of housekeeping
• Able to implement and maintain organizational systems
• Comfortable working in a family home with children
• Warm, respectful, calm, and professional demeanor
• Discreet, reliable, and consistent

Compensation and Benefits

• Up to $45 per hour
