Full-Time Weekend Nanny/Housekeeper – Upper West Side, NY

Overview

A valued repeat client is seeking a full-time weekend nanny/housekeeper to support the care of her daughter and assist with household management. The schedule for direct childcare will be Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional housekeeping hours can be arranged flexibly based on the candidate’s availability. The family travels to Washington, D.C. one weekend per month, and the candidate must be able to accompany them.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive weekend care for a 3-year-old, including travel to Washington, D.C. one weekend per month
• Plan engaging, fun, and developmentally appropriate activities that support learning and well-being
• When not providing childcare, handle comprehensive housekeeping duties, including deep cleaning, cooking, laundry (ironing, steaming, folding, organizing, and putting away clothing), picking up dry cleaning, closet organization, and changing bed linens
• Manage grocery shopping and run household errands
• Develop and maintain a detailed inventory system for the home
• Oversee supply purchasing and manage deliveries
• Take a lead role in cooking, including meal preparation and assisting with setting the table for dinner
• Support occasional entertaining within the home as needed
• Coordinate with vendors, repair personnel, and building management

• Strong cooking skills are highly desirable

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to perform both nanny and housekeeping responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with existing staff, including a full-time nanny
• Must be available to work weekends consistently
• Willingness to live-in when traveling to Washington, D.C. (once per month) and Florida (2–3 times per year)
• Interest in a long-term role that may evolve over time as the child grows
• Commitment to a long-term position

Compensation and Benefits

• $45 per hour
