Private homeowner seeking an experienced Estate Housekeeper / Laundress to maintain a luxury residence in Wellington, Florida.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience maintaining high-end homes. The ideal candidate takes pride in presentation, understands proper care of fine linens and household surfaces, and is able to work independently while maintaining consistently high standards.

The residence is a 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath home with multiple living areas, a large kitchen, pool area, and outdoor furnishings. The housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the home remains clean, organized, and consistently guest-ready.

This position is for an individual professional housekeeper. Cleaning companies or teams will not be considered.

Responsibilities

General Housekeeping

• Thorough cleaning of the residence including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors

• Fluffing furniture and maintaining a polished appearance in seating areas

• Occasional lint rolling or vacuuming of upholstered furniture

• Returning throw pillows and blankets neatly

• Dusting furniture, shelving, decorative items, baseboards, and window sills

• Cleaning blinds and shades as needed

Kitchen

• Cleaning all kitchen surfaces including countertops, cabinet fronts, handles, backsplashes, and appliances

• Proper care of stainless steel surfaces using appropriate products

• Cleaning and polishing sinks and fixtures

• Maintaining organization of kitchen items and returning everything to its proper place

Bathrooms

• Complete cleaning of all bathrooms including toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, mirrors, shower glass, and shelves

• Replacing toilet paper and tissues when needed

• Ensuring bathrooms are properly finished and guest-ready

• Noting when guest bathroom products need restocking (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, hand soap)

• Ensuring each bathroom maintains its designated towel sets

Laundry & Linen Care (Important)

• Advanced laundry care including washing whites separately from darks using appropriate cycles and products

• Identifying and treating stains appropriately

• Folding laundry neatly and putting items away

• Strong emphasis on ironing, including ironing sheets and duvet covers

• Properly making beds with neatly tucked sheets and well-presented bedding

• Ensuring bedding sets remain organized by bedroom

Organization & Household Management

• Assisting with closet and household organization

• Maintaining orderly drawers, cabinets, and storage areas

• Managing cardboard breakdown and recycling

• Occasional light garage sweeping

• Monitoring household cleaning supplies and notifying when restocking is needed

Outdoor Areas

• Occasional spot cleaning of outdoor cushions

• Putting cushions away and covering outdoor furniture when appropriate

• Sweeping entryways and outdoor seating areas

• Maintaining a clean and orderly outdoor environment

Household Support

• Occasional grocery shopping prior to homeowner arrival

• Light food preparation when needed

• Assisting with hosting preparations for dinners or small gatherings

• Purchasing or restocking household supplies when necessary

Household Oversight (When Owner Is Traveling)

• Checking and organizing mail

• Notifying homeowner of important correspondence

• Occasionally shipping mail or personal items when requested

• Meeting service vendors when needed (window cleaners, carpet cleaners, HVAC maintenance, etc.)

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in high-end private homes or estates

• Strong knowledge of laundry care, fabric care, and ironing

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and maintain very high standards

• Strong organizational skills

• Comfortable working in a home with dogs

References & Hiring Process

Candidates must be able to provide at least two professional references from previous households or employers.

The hiring process will include interviews and a paid trial day prior to final placement.
