About the Family

A professional, values-driven private family recently relocated from Cypress to Miami (Coconut Grove) is seeking two exceptional rotational nannies to join their household long-term. Both parents are working professionals who value integrity, structure, education, and respectful adult-to-adult communication.

The family views household staff as extended family and is committed to building a warm, long-term partnership with the right candidates. They are thoughtful, fair employers who deeply appreciate professionals who take pride in their craft and genuinely love what they do.

About the Children

  • Twin boys, age 2.5, home-educated
  • Older sister, age 9, present on weekends

The household follows a strict no-screens policy and emphasizes development through real-life activities, exploration, emotional regulation, and “adult” tasks. The children are bright, curious, and thrive with consistent structure, firm but kind boundaries, and a calm, confident adult presence.

Role Overview

This is a high-level, career nanny role suited for educators or development-focused professionals. The family is seeking nannies who act as mentors and guides, not passive caregivers.

One nanny will serve as a Lead Nanny (minimum 15 years of experience preferred), while the second may be slightly less experienced but still highly capable and aligned. The Lead Nanny will help set standards, guide the rhythm of care, and collaborate closely with the parents.

The mother views herself as a “student” and intentionally relies on the nannies to model, explain, and guide best practices in child development and daily parenting.

Key Responsibilities

Child Development & Education

  • Create a rich, structured, and nurturing environment focused on long-term development
  • Support fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, speech, independence, and responsibility
  • Teach children life skills with the mindset of “raising future adults”
  • Confidently lead with a calm, warm, and authoritative adult presence
  • Maintain consistent boundaries and household rules

Daily Care

  • Provide 24/7 attentive care during on-duty rotations
  • Prepare simple meals or reheat prepared food when the family chef is unavailable
  • Support healthy routines for sleep, meals, and activities
  • Teach and reinforce children cleaning up after themselves

Household & Logistics

  • Maintain child-related organization and tidiness
  • Driving children as needed (valid license required)
  • Travel with the family periodically (domestic and international)

Ideal Candidate Profile & Personality

  • Career nanny or former teacher who genuinely loves child development
  • Strong background in early childhood education and developmental psychology
  • Confident, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable leading independently
  • Warm, kind, and nurturing while maintaining firm boundaries
  • Passion-driven professional — motivated by purpose, not solely compensation
  • Comfortable in a non-alcoholic household and values a healthy, grounded lifestyle

This role is not suited for candidates who view nannying as “just a job.” The family is seeking someone who feels called to this work and takes pride in shaping young lives.

Requirements

  • Extensive prior experience in private childcare or education (Rotational experience is a plus!)
  • One nanny with 15+ years of experience strongly preferred (Lead role)
  • Excellent, verifiable references
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Willingness to travel with the family
  • Open to rotational, live-in schedule

Accommodations & Benefits

  • Private bedroom provided during on-duty shifts
  • Flights covered for rotations (in and out of Miami)
  • Health insurance options available
  • Competitive compensation aligned with the high level of responsibility
