Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional weekends/on-call as needed)
Hours: 40 hours are guaranteed. Overtime is available.

Position Overview
A private residence in Coconut Grove, FL is seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Houseman to oversee the upkeep, cleanliness, and day-to-day operations of the property. Working under the direction of the Estate Manager, this role ensures the home and grounds are maintained to the highest standards and always guest-ready. The ideal candidate has broad technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of the property, ensuring all systems and finishes are functioning properly.
- Perform light maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of indoor and outdoor areas, including patios, walkways, and garages.
- Maintain estate vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition.
- Oversee and troubleshoot household systems, including HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, pool/spa equipment, generator, and smart-home technology (Lutron, Crestron).
- Coordinate vendor visits and ensure all work meets quality and confidentiality standards.
- Assist the Estate Manager with daily operations, events, and guest preparation.
- Run errands and manage household supply inventories.
- Supervise vendors and ensure all areas are restored to pristine condition after service.
- Monitor security systems, access points, and ensure property is secured each day.
- Report irregularities or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within UHNW or luxury private residences.
- Strong technical understanding of household systems and mechanical operations.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and vendor coordination.
- Professional, discreet, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing hands-on maintenance and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Valid US Work Authorization
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
