Salary: $85,000 - $95,000
Schedule: 5-day work week, with flexiblity to work weekends on occasion.
Hours: 40 hours guaranteed, 8am - 5pm with flexibility with later end/start time.
Travel: Must be able to travel to New York City and Bridgehampton, NY on occasion, and more frequently during the summer months(housing is provided). Must be able to travel for 2 – 3 weeks at a time.

A private couple in New York City is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced Housekeeper/Cook/Caretaker to support the daily care of two elderly principals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet, and comfortable wearing multiple hats—helping with cooking light lunches and dinners for the couple, hands-on housekeeping, laundry and organizing.
A private couple in New York City is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced Housekeeper/Cook/Caretaker to support the daily care of two elderly principals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet, and comfortable wearing multiple hats—helping with cooking light lunches and dinners for the couple, hands-on housekeeping, laundry and organizing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full housekeeping: daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, and household organization
- Prepare simple, healthy meals such as baked chicken or fish, steamed vegetables, and fresh salads for the couple
- Serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to visiting guests in a polite and professional manner
- Accompany the principal to medical appointments and local errands
- Travel with the principal to NYC and Hamptons during the summer months (housing provided)
- Provide companionship and reminders for medication and routines, assist with getting in and out of bed.
- Oversee vendors and service appointments, and liaise with appropriate contacts for household repairs and maintenance (e.g., changing lightbulbs, scheduling handyman services)
- Run household errands such as grocery shopping and pharmacy runs
- Walk and feed a small dog as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role within a private home
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Great cook and comfortable with handling food
- Experience with meal and beverage service
- Proactive and self-starter mindset
- Overall, a helpful and supportive attitude
- Flexible to travel for weeks/months as needed by the family
- Professional, discreet, and service-oriented with a can-do attitude
- Fluent in English and legal to work in the U.S.
- Excellent references from previous long-term roles
- Valid driver’s license; confident driving in the Hamptons, NY
