Private Individal in Brooklyn, NY Seeking a Full-Time Driver

Position: Full-Time Live-Out Driver
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional evening plans and dinners
Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Relocation: No – local candidates preferred

About the Family

A private principal based in Brooklyn, New York is seeking a highly professional, reliable, and discreet Full-Time Driver to provide daily transportation and general support. This is the first time the principal is hiring a dedicated driver, so they are looking for someone polished, adaptable, and experienced in navigating New York City efficiently.

The role will primarily involve driving the principal from Brooklyn to his office in Midtown Manhattan, remaining available throughout the day for errands and transportation needs, and driving him home in the evening. Occasional evening dinner transportation may also be required.

The family is seeking someone who is calm under pressure, highly dependable, and committed to maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Pick up the principal daily from Brooklyn residence around 8:00 AM
• Drive the principal safely and efficiently to Midtown Manhattan office
• Remain available throughout the day for errands, transportation, and other driving needs within the city
• Drive the principal home in the evening around 7:00 PM
• Provide transportation for occasional dinner engagements or evening plans
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the principal’s vehicle
• Monitor traffic and plan routes efficiently throughout NYC
• Handle errands and other transportation-related requests as needed
• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times

Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal candidate is professional, punctual, discreet, and highly knowledgeable about driving throughout New York City. They should have excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to anticipate needs while maintaining a calm and polished demeanor.

The principal would strongly prefer someone with a law enforcement or security background, and retired NYPD candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Prior professional driving experience required
• Extensive familiarity with NYC streets, traffic patterns, and routes
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong professionalism and discretion
• Comfortable with long workdays and schedule flexibility
• Retired NYPD or similar background strongly preferred
• Excellent references
• Legal to work in the United States
