Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time; early starts required with flexibility for longer days, mid-day breaks, and some weekend availability

About the Family

A warm, busy, and high-energy family in Society Hill is seeking an exceptional Executive Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness, organization, and day-to-day upkeep of their primary residence and second property in Margate. The household includes three young children (ages 8, 6, and 2) and two dogs.

The family is looking for a highly experienced, self-directed professional who takes enormous pride in maintaining a beautifully run home and who naturally notices details before being asked. This role is ideal for someone who is extremely proactive, confident, organized, and truly enjoys creating order and maintaining exceptionally high household standards.

While a full cleaning service comes weekly, this role requires hands-on daily housekeeping, luxury garment care, organization, household oversight, and proactive problem-solving throughout both properties.

Responsibilities

Executive Housekeeping & Household Upkeep

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the primary residence and second property in Margate
  • Perform daily upkeep of high-use areas including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and family areas
  • Ensure all rooms remain tidy, stocked, organized, and guest-ready at all times
  • Follow detailed care instructions for fine furniture, artwork, specialty surfaces, and delicate household items
  • Identify household issues proactively and take immediate action to resolve them
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors, repair professionals, and household service providers as needed
  • Assist with household organization projects and maintaining efficient systems throughout the home

Luxury Laundry & Wardrobe Care

  • Expert-level care for luxury clothing, delicate fabrics, linens, and specialty garments
  • Handle dry-clean-only items, pressing, steaming, stain treatment, laundering, and wardrobe maintenance
  • Maintain closet organization and seasonal wardrobe rotation
  • Ensure all clothing and linens are properly stored and maintained to the highest standards
  • Follow detailed garment care instructions with precision and discretion

Household Support

  • Grocery shopping, errands, and household supply procurement
  • Maintain inventory of household essentials, cleaning supplies, and pantry items
  • Assist with dishes, trash, recycling, and general household flow throughout the day
  • Occasionally assist with dog care and coordinate pet-related needs
  • Support a busy household environment with flexibility and professionalism

Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience as an Executive Housekeeper or senior-level Housekeeper in a high-end private home
  • Exceptional knowledge of luxury home care, specialty fabrics, couture wardrobe maintenance, and fine household finishes
  • Extremely detail-oriented with very high cleanliness standards — an “uber clean freak” mentality is essential
  • Self-confident, proactive, resourceful, and highly reliable
  • Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems independently without needing constant direction
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable giving direction when needed
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable in a busy household with children and dogs
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to work some weekends and longer days as needed
  • Discreet, polished, and professional at all times

The Right Candidate Will…

Notice problems before being told and take ownership immediately. For example, if a light bulb is out and a leak is discovered, this person would proactively replace the bulb, purchase extras for future use, clean the affected area, coordinate the plumber, and resolve the situation efficiently before it becomes a larger issue.
