Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Location: West Chelsea, NYC (Near Chelsea Piers)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, ideally 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (occasionally until 7p) (approximately 50 hours per week)
Compensation/Benefits: $30–$40 per hour gross, PTO, Paid Holidays
Start Date: September 2026 - this family is hoping to interview & hire by July
Relocation: No – local candidates only
About the Family
A warm, active private family located in West Chelsea is seeking an experienced, energetic, and dependable full-time nanny to care for their two young children. The family values professionalism, flexibility, and a proactive approach to childcare. They are looking for a long-term fit who genuinely enjoys supporting children’s development and daily routines. Care will be for one toddler (almost 3 years old), currently attending school and transitioning to full-time attendance, and a baby!
Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for both children

Support the toddler outside of school hours with enriching, age-appropriate activities

Take children outdoors daily, including regular trips to parks and neighborhood outings in all seasons

Proactively plan activities that support physical, social, and cognitive development

Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the children, with a strong emphasis on balanced nutrition and exposure to new foods

Encourage healthy eating habits in a positive, age-appropriate way

Handle children’s laundry and maintain clean, organized play and sleep areas

Keep children’s spaces tidy and well-maintained

Communicate clearly and professionally with parents regarding routines, milestones, and daily updates

Travel domestically with the family as needed, typically up to two short trips per quarter, including occasional multi-night trips
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is energetic, outdoors-oriented, and confident caring for both a toddler and an infant. They enjoy planning activities, getting children outside daily, and taking initiative without constant direction. Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential. The family is specifically seeking someone who is comfortable with outdoor play, adaptable to schedule changes, and open to travel when required.
Requirements:

Prior experience as a nanny in a private household with infants and toddlers

Excellent professional references

Bilingual a plus (Spanish preferred; French also a plus)

Willing and able to travel domestically with the family

Strong organizational and time-management skills

CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

Valid Driver's License required
